By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures today. Tonight skies will be clear to partly cloudy. Little to no rain is expected. Fair, hot and mostly dry weather continues.
High temperatures today are forecasted at 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees in inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 72 degrees in inland areas, and 66 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect as inland temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at ten to 20 knots, resulting in choppy to moderate seas.
Tides are high as of 7:19 this morning. Tides will be low at 1:35 this afternoon and high at 7:46 this evening. The sun rose at 5:28 this morning and will set at 6:11 this evening.
Generally fair conditions will continue with showers being isolated, if any, for Tuesday and Tuesday night.
