Belize Weather: Fair start may give way to later showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. Showers will be isolated in the daytime with a medium chance of an isolated thunderstorm over the Maya Mountains this evening. Tonight, expect a few showers and isolated thunderstorms over the north and some central areas.

Today’s high temperatures will be 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 91 degrees over inland areas and 83 degrees in the hills. Temperatures fall tonight to 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots and seas will run choppy.

Tides will be low at 9:26 this morning and high at 4:51 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:02 this morning and will set at 6:02 this evening.

Skies will be cloudy at times on Friday with isolated showers or thunderstorms; a few more are possible over inland areas Friday afternoon.
