Belize Weather: Fair and warm conditions continue

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mainly fair weather conditions prevail according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies today will be sunny with a few cloudy spells and partly cloudy tonight; showers will be isolated with the chance of a late afternoon isolated thunderstorm in inland areas.

High temperatures peak at 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees over inland areas and 83 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 82 degrees along the coast, 75 degrees inland and 69 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly at 10 to 20 knots with higher gusts and seas moderate to rough.

A small craft caution is in effect. Seas will become rough at times. Operators of small crafts should exercise caution for occasionally gusty winds.

A heat alert is in effect. Temperatures inland are expected to reach and exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.

Tides will be high at 11:59 this morning and low at 7:56 this evening. The sun sets at 6:12 this evening and rises at 5:28 Monday morning.

On Monday, expect similar weather conditions.
