Belize Weather: Drier conditions setting in

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Skies will be mostly sunny today and partly cloudy tonight with generally isolated showers according to the National Meteorological Service; there is a chance for a thunderstorm to develop in the north this afternoon; but relatively dry conditions are setting in over the area.

High temperatures peak at 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 89 degrees in inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 79 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 70 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to southeasterly at ten to 20 knots with higher gusts and sea state will be moderate to rough. A small craft caution will be in effect for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas.

Tides were low at 6:15 this morning. High tide is at exactly 12 noon and low tide at 7:16 this evening. The sun rose at 6:06 this morning and will set at exactly six this evening.

Sunday sees mainly fair weather with only isolated showers.
