By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, a cold front over northern Yucatan is keeping our area moist and somewhat unstable. Over the next 24 hours, it will be cloudy skies with sunny breaks today and cloudy at times tonight. Some showers, periods of rain, and possible isolated thunderstorms will likely continue to affect mainly coastal and offshore areas this morning, then over most areas but more so along the coast this afternoon. Shower activity will gradually decrease over the country tonight.
Average high temperatures forecast today will be 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 83 degrees in inland areas, and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 70 degrees along the coast, 67 degrees inland, and 63 degrees in the hills.
Winds are northerly to northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots, and seas run moderate.
Tides will be high at 7:36 this morning and 6:42 this evening. They will be low at 12:38 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:15 this morning and sets at 5:20 this evening
Tuesday will see fair and mild weather conditions. Showers, if any, will be isolated with a medium chance for a few more over southern offshore areas Tuesday night.
