Belize Weather: Cool down on the way

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, an approaching cold front will support a gradual increase in moisture and shower activity.

The 24-hour forecast: sunny skies with some cloudy spells and isolated showers for today, along with the chance for isolated thunderstorms developing inland or over the south this afternoon. then, skies will become generally cloudy with a few showers, isolated thunderstorms or periods of rain starting mainly over the north and spreading around the country, during the night.

High temperatures today are forecasted at 84 degrees Fahrenheit for coastal areas; 88 degrees for inland areas; and 76 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 68 degrees in inland areas, and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the east to northeast at five to 15 knots, resulting in seas becoming moderate.

Tides will be high at 12:55 this afternoon, then low at 8:21 this evening. The sun rose at 6:15 this morning and will set at 5:57 this evening.

Monday sees cloudy periods with a few showers, periods of rain or isolated thunderstorms are expected mostly over some central, southern and offshore areas on Monday. Activity will gradually decrease over most places but may linger mostly over southern offshore areas on Monday night.
