Belize Weather: Continued clouds and showers entering weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy skies with some periods of light rain and possible isolated showers beginning in the south this morning then moving to the center and north this afternoon and affecting mainly the coast tonight.

Today’s high temperatures will be 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 85 degrees in inland areas and 72 degrees in the hills. Low temperatures tonight will be 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots with lightly choppy seas.

Tides are high as of 6:40 this morning. A low tide occurs at 10:53 this morning and another high tide at 5:36 this evening. The sun rose at 5:51 this morning and will set at five minutes past six this evening.

Into Saturday, the forecast is for cloudy skies at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly over the south in the daytime and along the coast at night.
