Belize Weather: Conditions stabilize heading into holiday weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur mostly over central and northern Belize today, decreasing and becoming isolated by tonight. Slightly moist and unstable conditions prevail.

High temperatures peak at 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 87 degrees in inland areas and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees in inland areas and 62 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at ten to 20 knots and seas are moderate. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms.

Tides will be high at 11:32 this morning and low at half past six this evening. The sun rose at 6:07 this morning and will set at exactly six this evening.

Saturday sees mainly fair weather conditions with only isolated showers.
