Belize Weather: Cold start to February continues

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, a cold and mostly dry northerly airflow prevails.

The 24-hour forecast: mostly sunny skies today with little or no rain; then, clear to partly cloudy tonight with isolated showers or periods of light rain developing mostly along coastal and offshore areas.

High temperatures today are forecasted at 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 73 degrees inland, and 62 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 63 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 54 degrees in inland areas, and 50 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northeast at ten to 20 knots, resulting in moderate to rough seas. A small craft caution is in effect for locally rough seas, especially in northerly swells beyond the reef. Operators of small crafts should exercise caution.

Tides will be high at 10:49 this morning and 10:31 this evening, and low at 4:14 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:24 this morning and will set at 5:48 this evening.

On Tuesday, there will be a few cloudy spells with isolated showers or periods of light mostly over central and southern areas.
