Belize Weather: Cold front keeps things cool and rainy

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, moist and unstable conditions prevail due to a cold front over the Yucatan Peninsula. Over the next 24 hours, expect cloudy skies with some showers or light rain over most areas, but especially over the coast this morning and tonight. There is the low chance for an isolated thunderstorm to develop.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 82 degrees in inland areas, and 72 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 74 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland, and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northerly at five to 15 knots, and seas run at light chop.

Tides will be low at 8:01 this morning and 7:10 this evening and high at 2:04 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:11 this morning and sets at 5:18 this evening.

The extended outlook for Wednesday is cloudy skies at times with a few showers or periods of light rain in the morning; with showers becoming isolated in the afternoon and night.
