By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service calls for skies to be cloudy at times today, becoming cloudy to overcast tonight. Showers begin in isolated areas at first, then increase along with thunderstorms during the course of the day before decreasing later tonight to offshore and some coastal areas. This is being supported by an apporaching cold front.
High temperatures peak at 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees in inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Temperatures tonight fall to 72 degrees along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.
Winds are northerly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots and seas choppy.
Tides are high as of 9:10 this morning. A low tide occurs at 3:07 this afternoon and high at 9:18 this evening. The sun rose at 5:59 this morning and will set at 6:03 this evening.
Expect cloudy skies on Wednesday as the cold front sets in, along with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms countrywide and especially over the coast and offshore.
