By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly cloudy skies and outbreaks of showers, thunderstorms and rain associated with a passing tropical wave. This is expected to decrease later and affect only the south and some coastal areas.
High temperatures peak at 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees over inland areas and 79 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 83 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds will be easterly at five to 15 knots and sea state light chop. A Strong Thunderstorm Warning is in effect as strong thunderstorms with damaging winds, dangerous lightning, hail and heavy rainfall are possible over inland and northern areas. Residents should remain indoors during thunderstorms and remain vigilant.
Tides will be high at 10:09 this morning and 10:56 this evening and low at 5:01 this evening. The sun sets at 6:14 this evening.
On Wednesday, there will be a few showers and thunderstorms mostly over the coast and in the south.
