By Zoila Palma: On May 25, 2026, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) proudly showed its support for the Department of the Environment’s (DOE) National Anti-Littering Campaign as part of their continued commitment to promoting a cleaner, more sustainable Belize.
Representatives from the DOE’s Outreach Department visited the BTB office to discuss the campaign’s ongoing efforts and ways to further strengthen environmental stewardship practices across our offices and daily operations.
As a symbolic display of support for the initiative, BTB’s Director of Tourism, Evan Tillett, signed a bamboo token and placed it into the DOE’s Anti-Littering Heart.
The BTB said that anti-littering posters and educational brochures were also handed over as since the BTB continues championing environmental stewardship and civic pride across the country.
