By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Seine Bight Village now boasts a vibrant new cultural hub with the grand opening of the Seine Bight Welcome Center on November 24.
This exciting addition aims to celebrate and showcase the rich cultural heritage and creative spirit of both Seine Bight and the Placencia Peninsula.
A collaborative effort between the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and the Seine Bight Village Council, the new Welcome Center offers a variety of spaces designed to engage visitors and locals alike.
It includes gift shops, a restaurant serving local cuisine, and a Palapa dedicated to Garifuna drumming, providing a dynamic environment for cultural expression.
The opening event also featured the Creative South exhibit, curated by the National Institute of Culture and History.
The exhibit highlighted the work of Southern Belizean artists.
