Located on Nurse Shark Street, the market provides local artisans and vendors with a modern facility from which to operate.
Following the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports & Diaspora Relations Anthony Mahler, Area Representative for Belize Rural South, Andre Perez, Mayor Gualberto “Wally” Nuñez, CEO in the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, Sports & Diaspora Relations, Nicole Usher, BTB Executive Leadership, and other guests enjoyed a brief walkthrough of the market.
The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) says that the San Pedro Artisans Market is expected to enhance the consumer experience by providing visitors with a welcoming place to engage with authentic Belizean craftsmanship.
