The MOU will provide specialized financial products, such as loans for hotel development, infrastructure, climate resilience, and business growth.
The collaboration seeks to improve the competitiveness of Belize’s tourism industry while fostering inclusive economic opportunities.
Henry N. Anderson, CEO of DFC, emphasized the importance of the partnership in ensuring the industry’s resilience and success.
Evan Tillett, Director of BTB, called it a “game-changer,” offering businesses the financial tools to improve services and sustainability.
The five-year agreement highlights a shared commitment to eco-friendly tourism practices and will continue evolving to meet industry needs.
