By Breaking Belize News Staff: Weather conditions across Belize today will be characterized by sunshine mixed with occasional cloudiness. According to the National Meteorological Service, only isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected, primarily affecting the southern region.
A moderate to gusty easterly airflow continues to dominate, with winds blowing between 10 to 20 knots. Sea conditions are being classified as moderate to rough, and authorities have issued a small craft caution due to the risk of locally rough seas. Mariners and boaters are urged to exercise caution while navigating Belize’s coastal waters.
Temperatures will remain high throughout the day. Inland areas could see a peak of 93°F (34°C), while the coast will remain slightly cooler at 89°F (32°C). Mountainous and hilly zones will experience daytime highs near 79°F (26°C). Overnight lows will range from 75°F (24°C) inland, 82°F (28°C) along the coast, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
As evening approaches, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with continued isolated showers. The outlook heading into Tuesday maintains a fair weather pattern, with little change expected aside from a few brief showers in isolated areas.
On the tropical weather front, there are no active systems in the North Atlantic Basin and no signs of cyclone development over the next 48 hours.
High tide today will occur at 12:05 PM, while the evening low tide is expected at 7:07 PM. A second low tide occurred earlier this morning at 5:59 AM, and the next high tide will take place at 1:14 AM tomorrow. Sunrise was at 5:26 AM and sunset is expected at 6:30 PM. The moon will rise at 9:35 PM after setting earlier at 8:51 AM.
