This shall apply to investors who have made commercial investments in Belize of not less than half a million dollars ($500,000) and who meet the qualifications set out by the Ministries of Immigration and Investment.
Officials have acknowledged long-standing concerns from investors regarding the difficulties faced when entering and operating in Belize. Narda Garcia, CEO of the Ministry of Investment, speaking last month, expressed the government’s intention to discuss and finalize the specifics of the residency program in an upcoming meeting.
Garcia emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment for investors, rather than one that serves as a deterrent.
