By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can look forward to a warm and sunny day with mostly clear skies as fair weather conditions continue to dominate the region. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, today’s forecast includes sunny skies with a few cloudy spells, while tonight’s skies are expected to be clear to partly cloudy. Rainfall is expected to be minimal, with only isolated showers developing offshore and along the south coast.
Marine conditions will be choppy, with northwest winds blowing at 10-15 knots and waves reaching 3 to 5 feet. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution due to moderate sea states.
Temperatures will reach a comfortable 84°F (29°C) along the coast, 88°F (31°C) inland, and 74°F (23°C) in the hills. Overnight temperatures will drop to 75°F (24°C) along the coast, 67°F (19°C) inland, and 62°F (17°C) in higher elevations, making for a cool and pleasant night.
Looking ahead, the weather outlook for Wednesday and Wednesday night indicates generally fair conditions with little to no rainfall expected across the country.
Tidal information includes a high tide at 9:00 AM, a low tide at 1:51 PM, and another high tide at 8:13 PM. The sun is expected to rise at 6:13 AM and set at 5:58 PM, while the moon will set at 3:50 PM today and rise again at 5:14 AM tomorrow.
Forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch encourages residents to enjoy the pleasant weather and take advantage of the favorable outdoor conditions, as the forecast remains dry and mild through midweek.
