By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under 23 Belize Women’s National Volleyball Team is competing in the Under 23 Women’s Central American Volleyball Championship to be held in Honduras from Sunday, June 23, to Saturday, June 29.
“Wishing our team safe travels and best of luck in this competition! Let’s go Belize!!!” Belize Volleyball said in a social media post announcing the departure of Team Belize.
The tournament will be held at the Gimnasio Jorge Galeano in Tegucigalpa.
Team Belize is led by captain Gareth Bruce under the leadership of Cuban coach Jose Cifontes, who is assisted by Lupita Quan and Larry Bennett.
Belize will open the tournament against Guatemala on Sunday at 2:30 pm.

Next month, the Belize Volleyball Association will be hosting the XX Women’s U-21 Central American Volleyball Championship.
