By Zoila Palma: Finance Belize announced the Belize–Taiwan Financial Services Technical Mission, taking place 9–13 March 2026.
“Building on more than 35 years of Belize–Taiwan diplomatic relations and growing cooperation under the Belize–Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement (ECA) signed in 2022, this mission will deepen collaboration between public- and private-sector stakeholders and advance practical exchanges that support Belize’s continued development as a modern, well-regulated International Financial Center,” Finance Belize said.
The objectives include strengthening bilateral technical cooperation between regulators and policymakers, sharing best practices in supervision, compliance, and financial services innovation and positioning Belize’s financial services value proposition for engagement with Taiwan’s private sector.
This technical mission is being coordinated in partnership with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Belize, Belize Companies & Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR), Immarbe Belizerbe Belize, and the Belize High Seas Fisheries Unit (BHSFU), alongside key national counterparts.
Another flagship event is a Financial Services Seminar which will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 9 am.
That event is coordinated in close collaboration with the Embassy of Taiwan in Belize Taiwan in Belize and the Embassy of Belize in Taiwan.
