By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service is forecasting another fair, hot, and mostly dry day for Belize as a warm east to southeasterly airflow continues to dominate weather conditions across the country.
Today’s forecast calls for plenty of sunshine and high temperatures, especially inland where it could peak at a scorching 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38°C). Coastal areas will be slightly cooler at around 91°F (33°C), while the hills will hover near 84°F (29°C). Tonight, skies are expected to be partly cloudy with very little rainfall, aside from possible isolated thunderstorms over the Maya Mountains during the late afternoon and evening hours.
The sea will remain calm with light chop and gentle easterly to southeasterly winds blowing at 5 to 15 knots. Wave heights will range between 2 to 4 feet.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected in the Atlantic basin, the Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours. Looking ahead to Monday, fair and warm conditions will persist during the day with only isolated showers. However, Monday night may bring an uptick in showers and thunderstorms, mainly along coastal and southern areas.
Sunrise today was at 5:17 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:23 p.m. Tides today include a low at 7:38 a.m., a high at 1:47 p.m., and another low at 9:22 p.m. The next high tide occurs at 3:33 a.m. tomorrow.
