Belize stays hot and dry as fair weather holds through Thursday

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect another hot and mostly sunny day as fair weather conditions continue to dominate the country’s forecast.

According to the National Meteorological Service, sunny skies with a few cloudy spells will prevail throughout the day, followed by clear to partly cloudy conditions tonight. Any showers or thunderstorms that develop are expected to be isolated and limited.

The hottest temperatures will once again be felt inland, where highs are expected to reach a scorching 96 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal areas will experience temperatures near 90 degrees, while the hills will remain cooler at around 82 degrees.

Marine conditions remain relatively favorable, with easterly to southeasterly winds between 5 and 15 knots and wave heights ranging from three to five feet. Seas are expected to remain choppy.

The good news for residents, farmers, and businesses is that the dry weather pattern is expected to continue through Thursday and Thursday night, with only isolated showers forecast.

Meanwhile, forecasters continue monitoring Potential Tropical Cyclone One near the Texas coast. As of 6:00 a.m., the system was located near Port O’Connor, Texas, with maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour and moving northeastward.

The National Meteorological Service says the system poses no threat to Belize, and no additional tropical cyclone formation is expected in the region during the next 48 hours.

For Belizeans, the forecast means another day ideal for outdoor activities, travel, construction, tourism, and agriculture, as the country continues to enjoy a stretch of stable weather after weeks of wetter conditions.

Forecaster Tareek Matthews says mainly fair and mostly dry conditions remain firmly in place across Belize.
