According to the National Meteorological Service, moisture is expected to increase tonight, which will allow for more shower activity offshore and near the coast.
Today will feature sunshine with cloudy intervals, and showers will remain isolated except for a few more developing over southern areas. Tonight, coastal and offshore zones are expected to see increasing showers as moisture builds over the region.
At sea, winds are forecast from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots with a choppy sea state and waves between three and five feet. Daytime temperatures will rise to 86°F along the coast, 88°F inland, and 78°F in the hills. Overnight lows will fall to 76°F on the coast, 68°F inland, and 65°F in the higher elevations.
The tropical weather outlook shows quiet conditions with no tropical cyclone development expected in the North Atlantic Basin. The extended forecast calls for cloudy skies on Sunday with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly along coastal and offshore areas during the day, then over central and northern Belize by nightfall.
Today’s tidal schedule includes low tide at 5:38 a.m., high tide at 11:44 a.m., low tide at 4:34 p.m., and high tide again at 10:39 p.m. Sunrise was recorded at 6:01 a.m., moonrise at 8:05 a.m., and moonset is expected at 7:09 p.m.
