By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can expect a picture-perfect day as fair weather prevails over the country this Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The Belize Meteorological Service reports that mostly sunny skies will dominate, with little to no rain in the forecast, making it an excellent day for outdoor activities.
Gentle easterly to southeasterly winds, ranging from 10 to 20 knots, will create a comfortable breeze throughout the day. At sea, conditions remain moderate, with wave heights between 4 and 6 feet. Boaters and swimmers can expect a stable marine environment, though minor choppiness may be experienced offshore.
Temperatures will remain warm, with coastal areas reaching a high of 87°F (31°C) before cooling to 78°F (26°C) overnight. Inland regions will experience slightly hotter conditions, with daytime highs of 90°F (32°C) and nighttime lows of 72°F (22°C). Meanwhile, hilly areas will see a more comfortable range between 78°F (26°C) in the day and 68°F (20°C) at night.
Looking ahead, Thursday and Thursday night will bring more of the same, with mostly fair conditions and only isolated showers expected in some areas.
The tidal schedule for today includes a high tide at 10:30 AM, a low tide at 3:56 PM, and another high tide at 10:10 PM. Tomorrow’s early morning low tide is set for 5:07 AM. The sun rose at 6:20 AM and will set at 5:53 PM. The moon will set at 6:29 AM today before rising again at 6:12 PM.
Forecaster Francisca Wellington assures that Belizeans can look forward to a bright and beautiful day, with warm temperatures, light breezes, and almost no chance of rain.
