Belize represented at SARInet/REVELAC meeting in Mexico 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: A team from the Ministry of Health and Wellness is representing Belize at the SARInet/REVELAC-i Regional Meeting in Mexico City, Mexico. 

The meeting supports the strengthening of pandemic preparedness planning in countries and territories of the Caribbean. 

It also serves as an opportunity for discussions on the effectiveness and impact of vaccination against Influenza and other respiratory viruses. 

“We are excited to share that Belize was among the recipients recognized for its achievements in Respiratory Virus Surveillance in the Region of the Americas in the last 10 year,” the Ministry said.

Also Sosa, Senior Medical Technologist and Nurse Elsie Velasquez, Public Health Nurse are the other two participants in attendance.
