By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Belize is being represented at the Regional Policy Dialogue for Boosting Trade Enablers to Leverage Agrifood Systems and Food Security in the Caribbean.
The event was held fromNovember 19-20, 2024 in Miami, Florida.
Leroy Martinez, Ag. Director of the Climate Finance Unit, Ministry of Economic Development and Victoriano Pascual (PhD), Chief Agriculture Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and Enterprise attended the event on behalf of the Government of Belize.
The main objective of the dialogue was to identify areas of collaboration between the Inter-American Development Bank and the Caribbean Countries, along with Haiti and Belize, to enhance regional coordination, knowledge and evidence-based innovations and leverage expertise to support trade policy developments to tackle needs in the Caribbean.
Discussions also included navigating Trade and Food Security in a Climate change world were discussed.
