By Zoila Palma: Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Emmanuel Bernard and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Julio Sabido, are representing Belize at the 62nd Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).
The council is being held from September 29th to October 3rd, 2025.
This annual forum convenes Ministers of Health and senior officials from across the Americas to discuss regional health priorities, share strategies, and strengthen collaboration in advancing health systems.
Belize’s participation demonstrates the country’s commitment to:
– Advancing universal health coverage
– Strengthening public health systems
– Promoting equity and wellness for all
