By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL) continues on Saturday, July 19 at 8:00 pm with a crucial mid-table clash between the Belize City Thunderbolts (5–4) and the Cayo Western Ballaz (3–4) at the Sacred Heart Auditorium in San Ignacio.
The Thunderbolts, currently third in the standings, are riding a one-game win streak and boast a strong +10 point differential. Their 4–1 home record shows dominance, but they’ll need to improve their 1–3 road performance to stay in playoff contention.
The Ballaz, sitting fourth, are eager to rebound from a recent loss and defend their home court. A win here would tighten the race for second place and inject momentum into their playoff push.
