By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Punta Gorda Panthers stunned visiting EZ Investments Dangriga Dream Ballers 80–75 on Saturday night, riding a dominant frontcourt display by Marquise Cunningham and Kyle Steward in the clash at the PG Sports Complex in Punta Gorda.
Cunningham posted 17 points and 13 rebounds, including a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Steward backed him with 22 points and 8 boards, while guard Chance Leslie delivered 15 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals, helping the Panthers keep their playoff ambitions alive.
EZ Investments Dangriga got 18 points and 11 rebounds from forward Kirk Smith Jr., while sharpshooter Edgar Mitchell added 16 points on 4-for-7 shooting from three-point range. Despite out-rebounding PG 45–46, the Dream Ballers missed 17 free throws and shot just 23.8% from beyond the arc.
