By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Belize Police Department received a donation of 2 new vehicles and a motorcycle from the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations.
The handing-over ceremony happened at the San Ignacio Police Station and is timely for police, who are focusing their efforts on containing a recent spike in crime in the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena.
The vehicles will be used to patrol the Twin Towns and surrounding communities.
