By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Police Department brought holiday cheer to its own on Saturday, December 20, 2025, hosting a festive children’s party for the sons and daughters of police officers at the Banquitas House of Culture in Orange Walk.
The gathering created a lively and joyful atmosphere as children enjoyed a full afternoon of treats, including food, snacks, ice cream, goodie bags, and Christmas presents.
The Belize Police Department said the event was designed to show appreciation for police families, who play a vital but often unseen role in supporting the work of law enforcement. By giving the children a memorable celebration, the department aimed to recognize the sacrifices made by officers and their loved ones throughout the year.
The initiative also reinforced the department’s commitment to strengthening its internal community, ensuring that officers and their families feel valued, supported, and included during the holiday season.
