Belize Police Association denounces actions of police officers who posted video of mentally challenged person

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Belize Police Association has issued a statement denouncing those that shared a video purportedly showing someone who is mentally challenged inside a police station.

The Belize Police Association says the video is believed to have been recorded inside a police station by a member of the Belize Police Department in the presence of a few more police officers,

“We the central body of the police association and in extension the rank and file of the Belize police department condemns the actions of these selfish persons who are the author of that video circulating on social media,” the Belize Police association says.

The association extended apologies to the person in the video.
