Belize participates in 9th Ocean Conference in Greece

From rising sea levels and coastal erosion to more frequent and intense storms, Belize is experiencing significant impacts.

Director Carlos Pol, Climate Finance Unit, along with CEO Kennedy Carillo and Director Felicia Cruz of Ministry of Blue Economy, participated in a panel with the Stimson Center at the 9th Ocean Conference in Greece.

Discussions included issues affecting Belize and the steps our country is taking to better understand and mitigate the risks.

“We are committed to safeguarding our natural treasures and building resilience for the future,” the Ministry stated.
