By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Fifteen cricketers who comprise the Belize Men’s National Cricket Team (BMNCT) are on their way to Argentina to represent the country in the 2024 International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier. The BMNCT is Philip Goldson International Airport ready to board their flight to Buenos Aires where they will represent the Jewel.
The team, a mix of experienced players and promising young talent, includes Gareth Banner Jr., Nathan Banner, Glenford Banner, Lawrence Bonner, Maurice Castillo, Ordell Cassasola, Brian Cassasola, Russhane Jones, Brandon Lewis, Alex Oxley, Jaron Pakeman, Jermaine Pook, Bernan Stephenson, Clint Stephenson, and Kristan Tillet.
The journey to Argentina is not just about cricket; it’s about representing Belize with pride and passion. The BMNCT know they’ll meet very strong competition and are ready to put their skills to the test against some of the best teams in the region.
