By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Marketing & Development Corporation (BMDC) has announced that they are purchasing dry coconuts at a rate of $0.30 each. This initiative is currently being carried out at their Orange Walk Town branch, located on San Lorenzo Road.
This new venture provides an avenue for coconut owners to turn their produce into cash. The BMDC’s initiative aims to support local farmers and encourage the trade of dry coconuts, which are in demand for various uses in both local and international markets.
Coconut owners are encouraged to take their dry coconuts to the Orange Walk Town branch. For more details or to arrange a sale, individuals can contact the BMDC directly at 672-5774.
