By Zoila Palma:  The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) joined partners of the Belize Marine Protected Areas Network (BMPAN) at the Grand Resort and Residence for the 2024–2025 Annual General Meeting and Planning Retreat on November 4–5, 2025.

During the 2-day AGM, members reviewed BMPAN’s achievements and financial updates, reaffirmed their commitments through a declaration signing, and appointed new board members.

Guided by Wildtracks participants also engaged in strategic planning sessions to define key priorities and develop the 2026 Annual Plan focusing on clear goals, milestones and collaboration for effective marine conservation.

TIDE expressed pride in being an active member of BMPAN, committed to protecting and sustaining Belize’s marine and coastal resources for future generations.
