By Zoila Palma: The Government of Belize has officially launched the “Buy Belizean” Campaign and Loyalty Program Passport at the 2025 National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS), aiming to boost local businesses and support Belizean-made products.
Led by the Office of the Prime Minister and BELTRAIDE, the initiative encourages consumers to shop locally through a reward-based passport system. With each qualifying purchase, shoppers earn stamps that enter them into raffles and giveaways.
“The Buy Belizean Campaign and the Loyalty Program Passport are not just about shopping; they’re about shaping a resilient and self-reliant Belize. Every purchase you make from a Belizean business is an investment in your community and your country,” said Ishmael Quiroz, BELTRAIDE Executive Director.
Passports, available for $10, can be purchased at BELTRAIDE offices or at NATS.
Local businesses are invited to join the program and register in the National MSME Directory.
The campaign is backed by multiple government agencies and supports Pillar 9 of the Belize Investment and Business Climate Action Plan. For more information, visit: buybelizean.beltraide.bz.
