By Zoila Palma:  Representatives from Belize’s trade and consumer protection agencies are participating in a three-day workshop to learn from regional experts on supervising fair business practices and healthy competition in the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME).

Belize is among the CARICOM countries putting in place systems to support the free movement of goods, services, skills, and capital within the CSME.

Participants will engage their peers from the Caribbean on best practices and rules for business conduct in this new setting.

The sessions, led by the CARICOM Competition Commission, are focusing on sharing challenges and solutions from across CARICOM States to ensure the CSME delivers its promised benefits and is not held back by unfair business practices.
