By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is hosting the 2025 Belize FIFA Beach Soccer Seminar, an event aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of beach soccer among local coaches and players. The seminar brings together 15 participants from across Belize and is a key initiative in advancing the sport nationally.
“This seminar marks a significant step in strengthening the future of beach soccer in Belize,” an FFB said in a statement posted on social media.
Kicking off with an opening ceremony, FFB President Sergio Chuc emphasized the importance of the event in fostering beach soccer’s development in Belize.
The FFB said the seminar is being conducted by Ramón Raya, FIFA Head Instructor and former head coach of Mexico’s national beach soccer team. Raya, who is a widely respected figure in the sport. Raya led Mexico to international victories, including a CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship. His expertise as both a coach and former player makes him a vital resource in elevating coaching standards worldwide.
The FFB highlighted the participation of Cruzita Mendez, Soneida Teul, and Coach Ada Cordova, the only women in the program. Their commitment to training alongside their male counterparts marks a significant step toward greater women representation in beach soccer in Belize.
FFB expressed appreciation to all attendees, recognizing their dedication to the sport.
