By Zoila Palma: The Belize Airlift Development Conference took flight today, bringing together regional and international airline leaders to discuss expanding air access and enhancing the country’s connectivity as a premier travel destination.
Hosted by the Belize Tourism Board, the conference featured detailed presentations and industry updates, including a key report on Belize’s airlift landscape presented by Altura Aviation.
Representatives from major carriers such as Air Transat, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Copa Airlines, American Airlines, Cayman Airways, and Tropic Air participated in collaborative discussions on new routes, travel trends, and future partnerships.
Capping off the day’s events was The Sky’s the Limit: B.O.O.M. x Airlift Industry Mixer, a networking event that fostered continued dialogue and connection among key stakeholders in the tourism and aviation sectors.
The Belize Tourism Board extended its gratitude to sponsors and partners who made the event possible, including Bowen and Bowen, Digibusiness, MADISCO, Courts, Travellers Liquors Ltd., and the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, Sports, and Diaspora Relations.
The conference marks a strategic push to position Belize as a more accessible and connected destination for travelers worldwide.
