By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has announced a major boost to Belize’s air connectivity with the return and expansion of WestJet and Air Canada seasonal flights, set to begin October 30, 2025. The expanded schedules from Toronto, Calgary, and Montreal are expected to bring a 45% increase in available seats from WestJet compared to last season, along with the introduction of Air Canada’s direct Montreal route, significantly strengthening the Belize–Canada travel corridor.
From Calgary, WestJet will operate twice weekly between October 30 and December 14, 2025, before increasing to three times weekly from December 15, 2025, to April 12, 2026, with service on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The route returns to twice-weekly service from April 13 to April 26, 2026, and once weekly until May 3, 2026. From Toronto, service begins with two flights weekly until November 9, 2025, increasing to three flights weekly until December 14, 2025, and peaking at four flights weekly through April 12, 2026, operating Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The schedule then tapers to three flights weekly until April 26, 2026, twice weekly until May 3, 2026, and once weekly until May 10, 2026.
Air Canada’s Montreal–Belize City service will launch on December 8, 2025, operating until March 2, 2026, and returning from March 9 to April 6, 2026, with departures at 5:45 PM and arrivals in Belize at 9:05 PM. Its Toronto–Belize City seasonal route will operate on March 6, March 27, and April 10, 2026, with morning departures arriving in Belize City before 2:00 PM.
Minister of Tourism Anthony Mahler welcomed the expanded service, stating, “With more frequency and more seats, Belize is becoming even more accessible for winter getaways and extended stays.” The increase in flights from multiple Canadian cities also opens more opportunities for European travelers to connect to Belize via major Canadian hubs.
With this boost in connectivity, Belize’s 2025-2026 tourism season is set to deliver stronger visitor numbers, bolstering the economy and creating greater access for travelers seeking the country’s culture, nature, and adventure.
