Belize gets a hot and mostly sunny weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Mainly fair and warm conditions will prevail over Belize today, according to the National Meteorological Service.

Expect sunny skies with a few cloudy spells through the day and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, with a medium chance of a few more over the extreme south late tonight.

Inland temperatures will reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit before dropping to 75 overnight. The coast reaches 89 with a low of 82, while the hills stay at 82 and fall to 68.

At sea, winds will blow from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots with a light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.

Similar conditions are expected for Sunday and Sunday night.

Tropical Storm Dolly has weakened. The system is now a tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands, and redevelopment is unlikely as it moves westward to west northwestward at near 25 miles per hour.

Sunrise was at 5:38am and sunset comes at 6:08pm.
