By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize is set to host the 2025 Caribbean Elite & Under-23 Road Cycling Championships from October 9 to 13, bringing top-tier pedal action to Belize.
The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) said the championship will feature two official events: the Individual Time Trial (ITT) on Saturday, October 11, and the Road Race on Sunday, October 12. Final confirmation of race details is pending approval from the UCI Commissaire in collaboration with the Caribbean Cycling Union.
The ITT is scheduled for the Burrell Boom–Hattieville Road. The Road Race is proposed to start and finish near the Puma Service Station, with the main circuit running along the John Smith Road and Boom–Hattieville loop. Women will complete two laps, while men will race three.
The event is expected to draw elite cyclists from across the Caribbean, including defending champions and rising stars. Belizean riders will have the rare opportunity to compete on home soil in a UCI-sanctioned regional championship.
Among the expected competitors are defending Elite Caribbean Road Champion Cory Williams and Belize’s own Derrick Chavarria, the U23 Caribbean Subchampion.
