By Zoila Palma: Today, the Belize Forest Department is honoring the life and legacy of Erwin Gillett, a devoted public servant, mentor, friend, and passionate protector of Belize’s natural resources.
“Though no longer serving within the Forest Department, Erwin’s impact on conservation, outreach, and the lives of the many young people he inspired will never be forgotten. His laughter, dedication, and love for community left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him,” the Belize Forest Department noted.
The Belize Forest Department expressed sympathies to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
