By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service is forecasting warm and mostly dry weather for Belize today, with sunny skies and cloudy intervals expected. Tonight will be partly cloudy, and showers or thunderstorms will be isolated.
Winds will be light to moderate from the east to southeast at 5–15 knots, and seas will remain slight, with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet. Coastal areas will experience highs near 88°F (31°C) and lows of 80°F (27°C), while inland temperatures are set to peak at 94°F (34°C) and drop to 74°F (23°C) overnight. In the hills, highs will be around 82°F (28°C) and lows near 68°F (20°C).
In the wider region, Tropical Storm Erin continues to track west-northwest across the Atlantic at 17 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph. Located about 520 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, Erin is not expected to pose any threat to Belize.
Another system, a broad low-pressure area over the Bay of Campeche, is showing signs of organization and now carries a medium chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within 48 hours.
The outlook for Saturday and Saturday night remains stable, with similar conditions expected across the country.
