Discussions focused on the implementation of new drone survey protocols in Belize and Cuba, with the goal of expanding this standardized approach across the region.
This initiative aims to enhance the understanding of the Greater Caribbean manatee population and strengthen conservation efforts.
The Belize Fisheries Department says that it remains committed to supporting research and conservation initiatives that contribute to the protection of Belize’s marine resources.
