By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s U-15 Women’s National Volleyball Team debuted on Wednesday, December 10, at the 2nd Central American Under-15 Invitational Volleyball Championship in Managua, Nicaragua, but the start was tough as the team lost 3–1 to Honduras 
.
Honduras took the first set 25–23, but Belize fought back to win the second 25–22. The Hondurans then closed out the match with 25–18 and 25–16 victories, securing their second win of the tournament.

The invitational began Tuesday with Honduras defeating Guatemala 3–0 (25–13, 25–21, 25–22) and hosts Nicaragua sweeping El Salvador 3–0 (25–19, 25–6, 25–12). On Wednesday, Guatemala bounced back to beat El Salvador 3–0 (25–22, 25–11, 25–12).
Belize may not have started as hoped, but the team was rat5hyer competitive, especially in the first two sets, and the tournament offers valuable international experience for the young athletes.
