Belize faces mixed weather conditions with sunshine and showers

By Horace Palacio: Belize is bracing for a day of mixed weather conditions, with sunny skies interspersed with cloudy spells according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service.

While the morning hours may bring a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly along the south coast and central inland regions, the afternoon is expected to see shower activity shift towards inland areas. As night falls and tomorrow morning approaches, residents, particularly those in the southern districts, can anticipate a few outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures will vary across the country, with coastal areas experiencing highs of 90°F (32°C) and lows of 82°F (28°C), while inland regions will see slightly warmer temperatures reaching up to 95°F (35°C) before dropping to 74°F (23°C) at night.

The hills will offer a cooler respite, with highs of 82°F (28°C) and lows of 68°F (20°C). Marine conditions will feature east-southeast winds blowing at 10-15 knots, with light chop to choppy seas and waves ranging from 2 to 5 feet.

Looking ahead to Thursday and Thursday night, cloudy spells will continue, with isolated showers transitioning to outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the south and coastal areas.
