By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s national Under-19 men’s volleyball team is set to commence their journey in the XV AFECAVOL U19 Central American Men’s Volleyball Championship against Nicaragua on Sunday, December 8. The championship, held at the El Salvador Volleyball Federation’s (FESAVOL) Gymnasium in San Salvador, El Salvador, runs until Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The young Belizean volleyballers are looking to repeat and improve on their 2022 performance when they won the bronze medal behind Costa Rica and Guatemala.
The tournament will feature teams from all Central American countries.
Belize’s Schedule:
- Sunday, December 8, 2024: Belize vs. Nicaragua at 5:30 PM
- Monday, December 9, 2024: Belize vs. El Salvador at 8:00 PM
- Tuesday, December 10, 2024: Belize’s Rest Day
- Wednesday, December 11, 2024: Belize vs. Panama at 3:00 PM
- Thursday, December 12, 2024: Guatemala vs. Belize at 3:00 PM
- Friday, December 13, 2024: Costa Rica vs. Belize at 3:00 PM
- Saturday, December 14, 2024: Belize vs. Honduras at 2:00 PM
